SHRED is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusivity within the snowboarding community by providing accessible opportunities to marginalized youth.
Our mission centers on breaking down barriers to entry in snowboarding and the snowboarding industry, offering these youth not only the chance to participate in the sport but also to explore career paths within the industry.
By emphasizing the mental health benefits associated with snowboarding and skateboarding, such as stress reduction, enhanced decision-making, boosted confidence, and improved mood, SHRED aims to support the holistic well-being of participants.
This year, we are expanding our regular programming with SHRED Industries. An exciting new initiative which will create a vibrant community hub and a crucial home base for SHRED. This new space will provide classroom facilities for year-long programming, workforce development and mental health facilitation. This facility will house the central location for our winter program, a 10,000 square foot indoor skatepark, and dedicated headquarters for the SHRED team.
Through our programming, we strive to create a more diverse, inclusive, and mentally resilient snowboarding community, paving the way for future generations to thrive both on and off the board.
